" As 2024 came to a close, I created an online Introduction to Reiki with Horses class hosted through The Joyful Horse. I offer in-person and remote sessions as  well. My website is www.wendeeandfriends.com

I started on this path when vets and other practitioners had exhausted their resources in trying to help my 2015 PRE Andalusian named Brioso. I was desperate to help him feel better in his body. I started my Animal Reiki study in 2016 with an in-person Introduction to Animal Reiki Class with Kathleen Prasad, Founder of The Animal Reiki Source.

My anxiety surrounding Brioso’s incurable degenerative disease, hyper-mobility, ESPA/DSLD resolved through guided meditations with my small herd. I was able to then manage his symptoms and provide comfort for several more years. In that time I deepened my personal practice, even traveling to Thailand to volunteer at an Elephant hospital.
